It is beautiful! I wish the original pic gave a clue how big it was at first. Alice, if I want to wash the thrift store wool before it is knitted to get out the basement smell, will it felt the stuff?

Looking forward o seeing them. I do love the effect but I know what you mean about the extra knitting. Just think of it is making something for Hagrid I guess.

Kim sent me over here before she left town again. those are nice socks. I do mine toe up, too. And this past winter was in that state of being able to wear only my own handknits. I’ve worn a couple through on the bottoms (I should really wear slippers in the house) so I need to knit more…
